Subject: [Vintage-Audio] CT160 AVO tube tester
Date: Monday, November 11, 2002 5:19 AM

Hi to all the list's members,
I think, and hope, an audiophile can have more familiarity with a tube
tester than a simple vintage radio collector...

So, this is my trouble:

I have a CT160 AVO tube tester that need the 10kohm potentiometer that set
the -Vg1.
I think it may be a logaritmic wire-type, but in this case it vary its
resistance turning in the opposite way the axle respect the surplus
potentiometers that I have tested.
This cause a relevant error between the CT160 calibrated disk values and the
real -Vg1 supplied from the tester to the tube that I want to check.

Anyone know tips about?
There is a suitable potentiometer in the today's production, or where could
I find in Europe a potentiometer like the original one?

Many thanks,
** Luca Rossi **
