Hi All, This is in regard to a Teach model A-5500 I recently purchased. What follows is from the tech working on it. Today I received the two manual copies for the Teac. One slight problem though. The manual indicates the unit has two DC motors and drive belts for the take-up and supply reels. All adjustments and drawings are for those motors. However. This unit has AC operated reel motors whose shafts connect directly to the reels, same design as earlier Teacs. Only belts are for the tape counter. This is apparently why I found the quantity/size of belts indicated in my belt catalog were incorrect. The circuitry and mechanics of this machine is totally different from the service manual.
