[Vintage-Audio] Speaking of Garrard Changers (was: Pilot Radio Corp)

I just recently acquired a "Type A" 'table and the guy
up in Oregon (Portland Area) that shipped it, left the
tonearm unsecured, so needless to say that when it got
here (finally) - the needle was trashed from bouncing
around on the platter :( The cart may be damaged too.

Other than that - it seems to be in fairly good shape,
although I can't get it to operate in 'manual mode'
(always retracts to shutoff at end of record).

Could someone advise on a good (although not expensive)
replacement needle/cartridge for this equipment ?
It doesn't need to be 'top shelf' at this time, but it
should track well and be capable of playing some older
LP's that I intend to transfer to tape/CD, w/o making
them any worse.

Thanks - Bruce
