I own a pair of J.B. Lansing Century L-100 speakers, circa 1974. These are the
good ones, before J.B. Lansing was sold to? A wonderful 50 watt continuous RMS
three-way system.

The original cabinets had a foam front cover with little foam squares for a nice
design. Unfortunately, after five to ten years, the foam started to deteriorate
and flake off. I contacted a distributor of today's J.B.L. speakers in Detroit,
MI and inquired about a replacement front cover. The foam design was not
available, no loss! I did purchase a kit to make a cloth cover on a wood frame
that match the cabinet. Complete with J.B.L. metal logo.

They were not difficult to construct and fit perfectly. Looked great, and still
do.

I also have a contact in Oxford, MI Judith Fulkerson who recones speakers
professionally. She knows what she is doing too! A good pair of speakers,
reconed, will outlive their owner.
