Interesting note on setting the bias. This amp runs (I believe) Class AB1
with fixed bias but it is not adjustable as it is all set up with fixed
resistors. I wonder if Peavey anticipated using "selected" tubes that had
gains within set limits? I remember my old 100 Watt Blackface Fender Twin
had a bias adjust as did a little 50 Watt Combo (don't recall make) I had at
one time. That little combo, running 50Watts is the one that "blew up" on
stage making everyone in church jump more than usual! I do know that
Peavey claims 60 Watts RMS out of two 6L6's running 500 Volts B+ which seems
to be pushing it a little harder than some folks do.
