I think that we can say that the 2023 PARC Annual Corn Roast was without doubt a great success. I got much positive feedback from people saying that they had a wonderful time with lots of good fellowship and food.

We had 45 Club members, spouses and guests, plus our 2 neighbours from up the hill and a surprise visit from my son Andy and his family, making a total of 52 guests for the occasion. I believe that this is our biggest corn roast yet.

Many thanks to the helpers who pitched in to make it all happen, particularly the food donations for the big spread on the tables.  Most appreciated. We ate most of the 5 dozen corn I got, plus the burgers and hotdogs that Clay VE3YCL brought. Thank you, Clay.  A very special thanks to Dave VE3SD for being the cook.  And a BIG THANK YOU  to all of you for coming and enjoying this fun time together.

On a sad note, I must let you and the group know that Sandy and I are looking for a smaller place and will most likely have relocated by this time next year. 

As such, this is the last time we will be hosting the corn roast and other arrangements will have to be made for future ones.  

We've enjoyed having you all at our country home and sharing these happy times together. 

It's great that we had such a big turnout for our final corn roast here, our Last Hoorah!
