Peterborough ARES/ASC (Amateur
Radio Emergency Service/Auxiliary Communications Service) is
having an ARES/ASC Training Course. This course is open to anyone
who would like to be a member of Peterborough ARES/ASC or be added
to the Floater List. The Floater List is any ARES/ACS member who
does not want to participate in the weekly ARES/ACS Nets. There
has been many changes to ARES/ACS in the last few years that
includes requirements to operate in EOCs (Emergency Operations
Centers). For this reason, all ARES/ASC participants including
the Floater List must now have ARES/ASC Training as a "minimum"
requirement.
Please note, during an Emergency ARES/ACS activation, any
Amateur Radio volunteer who wishes to help, will not be refused
but will likely operate in a limited role.
When:
Saturday, September 16th, 2023
Time:
