You (and others Hams in Port Hope/Cobourg ) may be interested in this ceremony on Sunday April 2, 2023. Fern Blodgett was the first wireless radio operator and the first female to serve in the Battle of the Atlantic during WW2.   The ceremony will be held in the meditation /rock garden at the far east end of Victoria Park in Cobourg.  at 1:30 pm.  There is a full size statue of Fern Blodgett there.  See link below:    The article says that the Skeena Sea Cadets will be there operating their Ham Radio station.  

I will be traveling to Florida that day so will not be able to make the celebration.
