Janette's email is [email protected] if that helps. But, for my 2 cents worth, people like that obviously don't get it.

It might be prudent to announce that there are certain topics that are taboo on amateur radio and this is one of them and you have crossed the line. Then announce that the net is being shut down for the day.

We have even had local hams get into heated political talk in the past. There are too many who don't treat the Amateur Radio Code of Ethics with respect it deserves.

It's a major reason I rarely check into the PL net and I refuse to be a net controller as linking to VE3PBO via echolink, and the like, can open a kettle of fish I'd rather not have to deal with.

Hi, everybody.

I know I’m piggy-backing on an old E-mail from Steven, but I feel I need to say something.

I’ve just about had it up to here with comments from our American participants on the net regarding the protest that’s going on in several places here in Canada.  It was all I could do to keep my mouth shut this morning.  You would have thought that when a couple of comments were made by people on this side of the border about bleeding tongues, KI5SSR would have gotten the hint.  I even said that we shouldn’t be talking politics, but she didn’t seem to take the hint.

If she does it again next Wednesday, I plan to tell her that we don’t need people from other countries telling us how to run our country, and that her Republican comments aren’t welcome.  I suppose I could be convinced not to say it, but you may have a hard job.  So expect it if I haven’t been convinced otherwise in the meantime.

33 and 73 where they apply

Devon, VE3DEV.
