Greetings
Barry:
I have an old Hallicrafters SX-100 receiver that I inherited
from my father (VE3XQ) about 11 years ago. Although I
thought that I might put it to use myself, this looks highly
improbable now and I am hoping to find a new home for it. I
would like to donate it to someone or a group that might be
legitimately interested (locally) in its preservation.
Would PARC (or anyone within PARC) be interested in picking
it up? I'd prefer to not see it simply dumped onto Ebay by
a junk dealer. The last time I fired it up was about 10
years ago and it seemed to work okay then, so I assume it
still functions (but cannot guarantee this).
Your email address was the only address I could find on the
PARC website - sorry for any inconvenience. Feel free to
re-direct this if you know of someone else I should have
contacted. Alternatively, if the consensus is that the
receiver is of no interest to anyone, let me know. I can
drop it off at the recycling depot.
Regards and thanks,
Brian R. King, P. Geo.
