andrew, ve3and called the meeting to order. following introductions, devon, dev explained that due to an inexplicable technical gremlin, the minutes from december 2019 aren't available. barry, blm presented the treasurer's report. activities. john, nw said that winter field day is coming up near the end of january. dave, sd pointed out that we don't have a venue for it. sd said that he would check out nicoll's oval park. he said we might only have one radio, and we might have to operate out of the club trailor. john, nw wondered whether anyone might be interested in a valentine's day get-together. he also said that we're fast running out of time to find a place for a possible hamfest. barry, blm said he would check out prince of wales school for our hamfest. nw announced that as of september, we'll be meeting in the orientation centre at the zoo. technical. rick, iqz said that pbo is working well. he encouraged people to make use of it. the 440 antenna seems to be working well. dave, sd asked about wires x. iqz said he doesn't know anything about digital, and asked if anyone else might want to take it on. bob, rvz volunteered. andrew, and talked to nexicom about reducing internet rates, but they can't do anything for us. he has other people to talk to, and will have a report for next month. rick, iqz said we're still looking for a replacement battery. the apsley repeater is still off the air until better weather. ares. john, vl congratulated martin, omw for submitting the article to the tca about the trent regata. he said we have 13 members on our call-up list, and another 21 on the floaters list. he's hoping that some of the people on the floaters list will become a little more active. training sessions and simulated emergency tests will soon be forthcoming. website. terry ix and bob rvz have put our repeater etiquette guide up on our site. nina, irk related an incident which john, nw said he would address. the club brought in $1,013 last year, and brouht in $1,966. the executive is therefore recommending a dues increase from $25 for rac members and $10 for insurance up to $30 for single members, and $40 for families plus $11.50 per person. john nw moved that both individual and family fees be increased by ten dollars. bob rvz seconded. carried. barry, blm said that people can pay via e-transfer ve3mt`rac.ca. andrew, and told us that we have a new membership application form, which barry, blm needs to update. also, unless members specifically say so, e-mail addresses will not be shared. we are working toward a members only e-mail list. nominations. keith hxc and jeff poz nominated andrew and for president. sd dave nominated john nw for activities director and bob rvz seconded. rick ard and barry blm nominated steve pta for vice-president. keith hxc nominated and jeff poz seconded barry blm for treasurer. andrew and said that nominations will be accepted next month just prior to elections. the meeting was adjourned.
