Barry, BLM pointed out that Harmen will be retiring at the end of this school year, and will no longer have access to Room 131 at Adam Scott Collegiate. John NW and Mark LJQ suggested the room at the zoo.

technical. rick, IQZ said that the repeater has come back from california with no charge for the repair. When we can get back onto the water tower, the repeater will go back in. Someone kicked the shack door in, and took the webcam. an old computer was left alone. We have been told that the water tower will be available by the end of the month, but we'll see. Rick said that when he sends out E-mail, he has to do it in three pieces, because he sends to more than just club members.

ares: in John, VL's absence, IQZ told us that we'll be testing the equipment at the courthouse.

New business.  Nina, IRK said that she, PhyllisPVB, and sylvia, VE3HXC have been checking to see where we can hold our Christmas dinner because the Carousel is now gone. They are suggesting Chemong Lodge for either $27 or $38. Andrew thinks that Christmas dinner is $60. Nina booked it for december 14. everyone was in agreement. We have to let the ladies know by December 6.

Bill, MEW said he would like to initiate a hamfest for Peterborough, which we haven't had since the eighties. The Legion will let us have a room for $200 plus HST. He suggested $5 or $6 to get in, and maybe $5 or $10 per table.  we could make money.  We'll shoot for sunday, may 31. Keith, HXC moved that the club investigate the possibility of a hamfest, and that the activities director form a steering committee. Bob, IEL seconded. Carried.

IQZ said he received an e-mail from Jack Millage, VE3BLL, offering to make name plates to sit on a desk.

A guest of ve3WRL was on hand to demonstrate a device for burying wire or coax.

Len, LRM reminded us that the Rally of The Tall Pines is scheduled for November 22. They were short of hams last year.

Bob, IEL said that if anyone created a log for last year's club contest, he will give out certificates. He also told us that the Scarborough club is going to the Hammond Museum on Saturday, October 26. If anyone wants to go, let IEL know, and perhaps carpooling can be arranged.
