barry, ve3blm presented the treasurer's report. petty cash: $80.83. parc: $2,044.33. gic: $846.62.

activities: barry, ve3blm said that the ms walk people would like to get the walk underway by 10:00 on may 26th.

website. harmen, ema said he will be updating information about field day plus both walks on may 26th.

technical. rick, iqz said that the batteries for the repeater site are finally toast aftor several decades, which means that we have no back-up. the cable hasn't been buried yet, but it will likely happen during the next month.

ares. rick, iqz reported in john, ve3vl's absence that all of the ares radios are in the process of being standardized.

andrew, and once again reminded us that dues are past due. he also reminded us to keep harmen updated.

jerry, jlw said that when the bridgenorth fire department is ready to receive it, he and a few others will take it out.

jerry, jlw moved and bob, rvz seconded  that we spend up to $600 to send the yaesu repeater out to california. carried.
 
andrew, and and rick, iqz will go to apsley to evaluate the power output of ve3aps.

new business.

bob, iel proposed a club contest in which members would get one point if they contact another member, and two if they contact someone on the executive. dave, sd said that perhaps we should do it for a week  starting on good friday and continuing to the following friday. dave, sd and bob, iel will write up the rules.

john said that bob, rvz has some old magazine, and bill, cru said that he has some from britain that people can have.

bill, ve3cru from oshawa told us about several contests coming up in the next couple of months.

next, steve pta showed us some semaphore flags that were used from ship to ship during world war 1.
