*NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS*
We are just under two weeks away from the 2023 Lincoln Electric Rally of
the Tall Pines rally. At this point have 163 volunteers signed up and need
at least 30 more, including HAM Radio Operators, Stage Start & Finish
marshals and Spectator Area marshals. So if you are able to help out or
know anyone who might be interested,
to register as a volunteer for 2023, please go to
https://register.gotrally.ca/
We also need you to complete and submit a SpeedWaiver. You can find that at
https://mlrc.speedwaiver.com/pytvq
If you have any difficulty, email the registration team at
*worker_registration at tallpinesrally.com
<worker_registration at tallpinesrally.com>* for assistance.
*THURSDAY & FRIDAY ASSIGNMENTS*
If you are able to help out on Thursday or Friday, please reply to this
message or email ross at tallpinesrally.com to remind us.
All Thursday volunteers will receive instructions directly from me.
*ACCOMMODATIONS*
As for the Subsidized Worker Accommodations , there are only a few spots
left, so you had better sign up ASAP in the Worker Section of the website.
If you have problems, contact Jane at *accommodations at tallpinesrally.com
<accommodations at tallpinesrally.com>*
*COURSE CAR/OPERATIONS MEETING*
The meeting for Course Car volunteers and other officials will be held in
the Rally HQ basement on Friday at 7:30 PM.
*E TIMING TRAINING*
This year we will be using RallySafe again for tracking and timing. For
those of you who will be working with timing, we strongly suggest that you
check out the excellent RallySafe training videos at
https://rallysafe.com.au/training/
Plus we will be holding a video conference call that will focus mostly on
operating the RallySafe system on Monday, November 20 at 7:30 PM. If you
wish to attend, contact us and we will send you the link.
*BEING PREPARED*
The roads are in good shape and all gravel at the moment. At this point I
wouldn’t want to predict if they will be snow-covered, part gravel or what
on rally weekend, although the forecast is calling for some rain and snow.
We highly recommend that you have your winter tires on.
For those of you who will be working controls, be sure to bring suitable
clothing, food & drink and a flashlight or headlamp with spare batteries,
plus a clipboard and pen.
*For the HAM radio operators,* the main frequency for the weekend will be
147.285+ with a tone of 118.8. The other repeater frequency is 146.610-
with a tone of 100.0 *Be sure these are programmed in your radio. *Simplex
frequencies are 146.520, 146.550 and 146.580. Be sure to have them all
programmed in your radio.
*VOLUNTEER DOCUMENTS*
A majority of the Volunteer Documents have now been posted on the Pines
website at *www.tallpinesrally.com <http://www.tallpinesrally.com>* On the
Home screen click on the three lines in the upper right corner, then go to
Volunteers, then to Documents. Please take the time before next weekend to
go over these documents carefully.
*THE START ORDER LIST*
Things are shaping up really well for rally weekend. The Start Order
meerting is being held tomorrow night (November 14) and the Start Order

Pines website at *www.tallpinesrally.com <http://www.tallpinesrally.com>*
