Minutes, October 15, 2018.

 

in the absence of dave ve3sd, vice-president paul, ve3kbi called the meeting
to order. following introductions, devon ve3dev red september's gremlin
shortened minutes. jerry, ve3jlw & tim ve3tjl moved and seconded approval of
the minutes. carried.

 

barry, ve3blm presented the treasurer's report. petty cash: $353.03. gic as
of june 30?: $845.13. parc balance: $2,334.42.

 

activities. berry blm said that we had a wonderful corn roast at the qth of
paul, ve3axt. the following saturday we participated in the trent regata. he
reminded people planning to go to the club's christmas dinner on december 1
to let devon know.

 

paul kbi reminded us that Jamborie on The Air is on October 20. he went over
a list of items that we'll need.

 

devon, ve3dev officially announced that this year's christmas dinner will be
held on saturday1 ,december 1. Cocktails will be at 6:30 and the buffet and
wait staff will be ready to go at 7:00. she has booked the room for 50 but
needs to call the carousel with firm numbers the week beforehand1 so do let
her know if you plan to attend.

 

ares. john, vl told us about the ares presentation last tuesday, at which we
signed up bob, ve3obo. He said that the preamble will be changed slightly to
make it more welcoming to potential members.

 

technical. rick, iqz said everything seems to be working well, including the
new repeater, ve3tjr.

 

website. harmen,  ve3ema said he hasn't been given anything new to put on
the site.

 

steve, ve3pta drew our attention to several radios from the 50s and 60s
which he will sell for `s50 to `s60 each.

 

paul said that we'll have a show and tell next month.
