Dave, VE3SD called the meeting to order. Following introductions, Devon,
DEV read April's minutes. Jerry, VE3JLW and Keith, VA3HXC moved their
approval. Carried.
Barry, VE3BLM presented the treasurer's report. Petty cash: $487.63. GIC:
$844.66. PARK: $2,711.03.
Activities: Keith, VA3HXC said we'll be going to Marty-moos on Tuesday, May
8 to celebrate recent birthdays. Barry, BLM reminded people of the MS Walk
on the morning of May 27,and the Dog Guide Walk in the afternoon.
ARES. John, VL said that local members of ARES have been attending tests
of equipment at the fire station. He also told us that our proposal of an
article about the flood of 2004 was given the go-ahead. He still has people
who were there at the time to talk to.
Technical. Rick, IQZ said that Allstar seems to be repaired now. TJR
should be moved some time in June. The VE3BUY fusion repeater is up
intermittently.
Web site. No report.
New Business. Bob, IEL reported that the Scarborough Amateur Radio Club is
up and running again.
Shannon, a student at Trent, introduced herself, and said that she is eager
to learn more about ham radio. She is looking for a textbook. She invited
people to appear on her Smooth Operator shift to talk about PARC in general,
and Morse code in particular.
Len, VE3LRM thanked everyone for assisting with traffic on RTR on the
weekend of the car rally.
Jerry, JLW congratulated anyone who had anything to do with the disposal of
equipment for Mel Brown, VE3ACD.
Bob, IEL and Tim, TJL moved for adjournment.
