Dave, VE3SD called the meeting to order at approximately 7:30. Following
introductions, Devon VE3DEV read June's minutes and moved that they be
approved. Bill, VE3MEW seconded. Carried.
Barry, VE3BLM presented the treasurer's report. Petty cash: $59.38; GIC:
$842.77; PARC: $2,119.46; KARG: $818.14.
Activities. Barry BLM said that the Trent regatta is on October 3. Mary
VE3JTM said that our Christmas dinner is December 12. Jerry, VE3JLW thanked
Jim, VA3CC and Sandra for the wonderful BBQ that they hosted in August.
ARES. Jim, CC announced the new web site:

Technical. Rick, VE3IQZ reported that the noise we have been hearing on the
repeater must have been caused chiefly by Telus, because now Telus has gone,
and so has the noise. We now have a 440 repeater: 444.575 with a tone of
162.2 on both input and output. We will be using 2 metres and 440 for the
Head of The Trent. Dave, SD that linking to RTR has been experimental thus
far. Comments have been very positive, so the link will be operational from
7 in the morning until midnight. Dave, SD reminded us that because of the
link between PBO and RTR, we need to be aware that CANWARN may be up and
running when necessary. If the condition is green, you can you can talk if
and when you like. If yellow, then only when necessary. If red, then not
at all unless reporting a tornado.
Website. Harmen, VE3EMA said that if anyone notes any dead links, we should
let him know.
New Business. Dave SD took orders for call badges. They will be $5.00
each, and hopefully they will be ready for the next meeting.
