[PARC] mINUTES INCLUDING TREASURER'S REPORT.

PARC March, 2015.

 

Dave, VE3SD called the meeting to order at 7:40.  Devon, DEV read the
minutes, and moved that they be approved.  Jim, CC seconded.  Carried.

 

Barry, BLM presented the treasurer's report.  Petty cash: $360.89, GIC:
$842.15.  PARC: $2,603.29.  KARG: $818.14.

 

Activities.

Barry said that we will likely be doing the MS Walk again because they won't
be using Trent University this year.  We will also be covering the guide dog
walk.

 

Bob, IEL commented that ARRL has a ham radio day in April.  Dave, SD said he
would see what kind of a splash we might be able to make.

 

ARES.

Rick, IQZ said that he has sent out the list of net controllers until the
first part of April.  Terry, VA3MTT will be away during March.

 

Technical.

Rick said that there is a gremlin on the Allstar link that he will be
tinkering with.

 

New Business.

Dave, SD said that the new repeater is on back order.  He proposed that we
purchase a second repeater for the 70 cm band, which we could use for IRLP,
Echolink, Allstar, etc.  He will put a memo on the E-mail list so that we
can vote on it on-line before the end of the month, because the repeaters
will go up to $1,500 at the beginning of April.

 

Dave said that because so few were in attendance, we will have to put the
vote on the proposed amendment to the bylaw off until next month.

 

Dave, SD passed on a suggestion that we have written reports rather than
spoken.  He moved that we follow that suggestion.  Seconded by Jim, CC.
Defeated.

 

Bob, IEL suggested that we establish a Worked All Members award something
like the one in Scarborough.  An Amateur of The Year was alsomentioned.Dave
asked Bob to research the criteria for various awards.

 

Devon, DEV said that 18 people have expressed an interest in purchasing call
badges.  She said she would try to bring a sample to the next meeting.

 

Dave, SD reminded us that the Pickering Flea Market is April 18.

 

The meeting was adjourned.
