[PARC] PARC Minutes, February 3, 2015

Dave, VA3SD called the meeting to order at 7:50.  Devon, VE3DEV read
January's minutes.  Barry, BLM moved that they be approved.  Jerry, VE3JLW
seconded.  Carried.

 

Barry, VE3BLM presented the treasurer's report.  Petty cash: $299.89.  GIC:
$842.15.  PARC: $2,608.29.  KARG: $818.14.

 

Activities.  Barry, BLM said that as far as he knew, we have no activities
until the Fall.

 

ARES.  No report was available.

 

New Business.  Devon, DEV asked whether anyone would be interested in
purchasing call badges for approximately $12.  Dave, SD said there is a
company in Kingston that will sell a jacket plus an embroidered badge
containing name, call, and club logo for $45.  Everyone agreed that we need
more research on the jacket deal.  A sign-up sheet for the badges was passed
around.

 

Dave, SD once again asked whether members would be interested in buying a
dual band repeater for $500.  He said that we could put it in his house.
After considerable discussion, Keith, VA3HXC moved that we purchase the
repeater.  John, VA3NW seconded.  Carried.

 

We returned to the discussion of the dispensation of PARC assets.  Following
considerable wordsmithing of the bylaw as presented by Dave, SD, discussion
was tabled so that the amended document can be distributed.

 

Bill MEW moved that we maintain the present executive.  Rick, VE3IQZ
seconded.  Carried.

 

Rick, IQZ gave us a presentation on the new Allstar link on our repeater.
Devon, DEV expressed appreciation to Rick for speaking to us at such short
notice.

 

The meeting was adjourned.
