PARC minutes, January 6, 2015.

 

Dave, ,VE3SD called the meeting to order at 7:30. ,devon, dev said  that due
to technical difficulties, there are no December minutes.

 

Barry, BLM presented the treasurer's report.  petty cash: $146.64. PARC:
2,515.79; KARG: $818.14 ,GIC: 4841.83.

 

Activities.  Barry, blm said  that the Santa Claus parade went well, and so
did the Christmas dinner.  dave said  he would like to set up a tent for the
Winter Field Day on chemong Lake.  He said we should just  have a computer
and a heater.  We need a back-up location.  It will be the last weekend in
January.

 

ARES.  Terry, MTT said he had a meeting with the Peterborough Emergency
Management Committee.  They will give us a place to do the IMS course on a
Saturday.  He said that a new call-up list will be out in the next week or
so. 

 

Technical. Rick, ,IQZ said that voices have been heard in the noise on PBO,
and he is trying to determine who they belong to.  He wondered whether the
kerchunker enjoys music, and that's why he?she keeps kerchunking. He said
that we're working on getting on Allstar, with a node of 28701. He'll let us
know when it's set to go.

 

Web site. Harmen EMA said he made the corrections that Jerry, JLW had
mentioned. SD said that he has a list of concerns that he will give to
Harmen

 

New business. Dave  said he would like to change the bylaw about the
disposition of equipment at a club meeting. Len, LRM moved to table
discussion until nex month. Bob, WWI  seconded. Carried.

 

Dave, SD called for nominations for directors.  He asked for nominations to
be E-mailed to him during the next month.

 

SD asked whether anyone would be interested in resurrecting the PARC
newsletter.  Harmen, EMA said that if people contribute items, he will put
them on the website, which will in turn make it more dynamic.  We will have
further discussion about a quarterly newsletter at the next meeting.

 

SD announced that he has created a members' E-mail list.  He asked people to
give him E-mail addresses, and he will register them on the list.

 

Harmen, EMA said that the start date for this year's basic course is March
2.

 

Terry, MTT moved for adjournment at 8:50.  Bob, WWI seconded.
