Sidebanders,

I can't find the ARRL Handbook (2015, I think) from which I built the
6-element antenna
that I used tonight, which means that I can't find the URL for the
associated article...
But here's the PDF that I downloaded when I got there!
There were some minor differences between this paper and the article in the
Handbook,
but I won't recognize them until I find the book.

I built the 6-element version for 144.2 MHz because I found a 1x2 that long;
I built the 8-element version for 432.1 MHz because it's easy to carry
around in my car
(that's the one I have used on several radio noise complaints in the past
few years).

I took a couple of liberties, such as the addition of an SO-239 coax
connector at the
feed point so that I could measure impedance and SWR there. That cost me
two bucks!

Seeyas next Saturday, 9 AM and/or 8 PM.
73,

 = Steve Schaar...
