I received this information this evening from Scott Cornell (who is named
below).

Julian "Doc" Cornell 91, passed away peacefully December 7, 2019 in
Colorado Springs with loving family by his side.
Born October 29, 1928 in Moreau, New York. Grew up in Argyle, New York and
Schuylerville, New York where he met the love of his life Therese Ann
(Cormie) Cornell, married 67 years and who predeceased him July 24, 2018.
Doc was a friend to many, in service to all. He proudly served over 20
years in the United States Air Force. One of his memorable duty stations
was on the Texas Towers off of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
He was a quality and production manager for local manufacturing in Colorado
Springs and worked with many wonderful people he greatly appreciated.
He loved fishing, camping and traveling with Therese all across the
countryside in their RV, with family and many friends caravanning along
with them.
Doc "W0MCT" enjoyed 59 active years in Amateur ("Ham") Radio. A member of
the PPRAA, and local ARES program, he mentored younger hams, participated
in many Field Day activities, was a safety volunteer for several Pikes Peak
and Teller County Hill Climbs, races, and many other events. In addition,
signing on to multiple weekly net rosters, his last being just a few days
before he passed. Doc's family is very grateful for the support of the
Amateur Radio community.
Our Dad's loving kindness and humor will be missed but forever in our
hearts.
Survived by his children: Lynn Cornell, Stephanie (Dave) Boyle, Laurie
Cornell, Larry (Gail) Cornell, and Scott (Melanie) Cornell.
Grandchildren: Amy (Jim) Lindquist, Jason (Emily) Boyle, Tyler Cornell,
Kaleb (Heather) Cornell, Zack Cornell, Julianne Cornell, and Seth Cornell.
Great grandchildren: Hailey Boyle, Edwin Lindquist, Nora Lindquist, and
Jason Boyle Jr.
Brother-in-law: Frank Tynan of Saratoga Springs, New York, many loving
nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
He is preceded in death by his Mother Ethel Smith Peets, Stepfather
Laurence Peets, and brother Bruce Cornell.
Internment at Pikes Peak National Cemetery January 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
