Howdy.

Ham friends in W5, I am asking you for your vote.

My QSL card has been selected as one of three finalists for QSL card contest
in the ARRL West Gulf Division. The winner will be announced at the HamCom
convention in Dallas. You can see my QSL card here. www.qrz.com/db/kd9kc/.

The prize is an MFJ antenna analyzer, something I have wanted but put off
for a long time.

Please go to http://arrlwgd.org/contest/, and please vote on my card if
you think it is worthy of winning.

Card details.

The photo was taken by Fred - KT5X (Thank you Fred) on 15 October 2011.

The photo was cleaned up a bit by Bernie, K5ITB (Thank you Bernie).

The photo was E-mailed to Gennady, UX5UO, who makes some very fine QSL cards
at a very good price. http://www.ux5uoqsl.com/

The location was a SOTA summit, Manzano Mountain, W5N/SI-002. I was at
10,098 feet ASL, and it took me over 2 hours of hiking to get up there. The
photo truly does not do the scene justice. Stations worked on the summit
were: N4EX, ND0C, EB2DZF, NS7P, N7UN, KC3RT, WA2USA, W3JCB, KB3ONQ, KD8NND
and N5JEH. The first 7 were on 15m-SSB, the next 3 were on 10m-SSB, and the
last was on 2m-SSB. I was hoping to pull off a 2m-SSB summit-to-summit
contact with a group of SOTA activators from Las Cruces NM. They were on
W5N/BL-002, Hillsboro Peak, about 140 miles away. The contact never
occurred as they had equipment problems on their summit.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my card.
