Howdy everyone.

READ TO THE BOTTOM FOR A SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY.

Some of you surely remember me.  I and my wife N5NHC travel around often enough,
usually going to dog shows with our Texas Chihuahuas.

Many of you know there is a 2m contest coming up on Sunday.  It was started by a
group in Texas, and will be run on FM-Simplex only, avoiding 146.520.  3 hours
(1-4pm MST, 2-5pm CST on Sunday afternoon).  Some of you may have heard about
it, some others maybe not.  Here is the info.

I will be working the < 5 watt class (HT).  I will be hiking to the top of North
Franklin Mountain (DM61sv).  That is a 3-hour hike one-way.  Working SE-AZ 
from there is a snap, no telling how far north and east.  I will be 1 or 5
watts, 
3 el beam, on simplex channels.  I hope to hear some of you.  Would be a shame 
to hike all that way and not hear anyone.

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY....

I will also have the following bands available - on an omni antenna only.

6m (52.525) - - - - - - -5 watts.
70 cm (446.000) - - - - 5 watts.
23 cm (1294.500) - - -  1 watt.  (MAYBE on a 9dB beam - depends on load in the
Back-pack).

We have a 10-w beacon (Vert-omni) in El Paso on 1296.2625, listen for that also.

If you would like to confirm a quick contact from your location to DM61sv on 6m,
2m, 70cm or 23cm, catch me while I am up there.  1-4pm MST Sunday only.  I will
have to hustle off the mountain to make it to the car before total darkness sets
in, so don't bother trying past 4pm.
