The San Antonio Baptist Association Command & Communications Unit will
have an open house Monday, September 8th, from 17:00 (5:00 pm) until 19:00 (7:00 pm).

The unit is located at the Tri-Point Center in San Antonio at Hwy 281
and St. Mary's St.

If you are in San Antonio, please drop by after work on the way home and
visit a while. For those wanting to get some hands-on operation of the
satellite system or new multi-band FM radio (Yaesu FT-8900) or the VHF
LMR radio on 151.625 MHz, this is your opportunity. I also hope to have
a 20M verticle up and o[peratingon 14.265 MHz.

Be prepared for Ike...this could be a second hit for the Lousiana coast
or anywhere on the Gulf Coast. Currently the SBTC as well as TBM have
(had) units deployed for Gustav so expect additional personnel needs
for any additional deployments.

Radio operators are in great need and there have been only a few
volunteers; so please pray and ask God to show you his desire for your
participation in any hurricane recovery (disaster relief) effort in the
next few weeks.

Additionally, we need communicators/ administrators for each unit
deploying so please encourage any communicator/ administrators you know
to come to the open house.
