[TxHam] Communicators needed in Woodville / Buna area

The Texas Baptist Men are engaged in clean up disaster
relief efforts following the floods in south Texas. 
They have need of several amateur radio operators to
provide communications between the teams.

Normal lines of communication are operative in the
area, but inadequate for coordinating the logistics of
the teams.  Cellular coverage is not good enough in
the area to be useful to the disaster relief teams.

If you live close or have the time to go to the area
and provide communications for a few days, contact me
so that I may answer your questions and assist you in
getting an assignment.  Please do not go without an
assignment.

If assigned, your meals and accomodations will be
provided, and you will receive plenty of instructions
and support.  Communications will include ham radio,
cell phones, courier tasks and so forth.  Almost all
the communication effort is in daylight hours.

The need is for VHF / UHF so any TECH CLASS operator
with a decent mobile rig can certainly help.

The communication is for logistics of supplies,
personnel, safety, and coordination between the clean
out teams and the disaster operations command.  

There is a daily debriefing which includes summarizing
the accomplishments and challenges of the day, as well
as prayer for the effected families and volunteers.
