NEW TWIAR VERSION AVAILABLE

Over the past few months, I have received several requests for a "NEWS ONLY"
version of This Week in Amateur Radio. Folks that took the time to write in
envisioned this version of TWIAR to run between 25 and 40 minutes, and
feature just the news, and none of our "special features" like the update
from Handi-Hams, Ancient Amateur Archives, More Musings, The Random Access
File, Vern Jacksons contesting report, and some of our other news and
special feature articles.

I like to be as responsive as possible to our affiliates, so effective with
this weeks edition, there is now a shorter, just the news, 30 minute version
of This Week in Amateur Radio. This new edition will also be available, as
is the full length version, in our standard issue MP3, high and low bit rate
real audio, and the high bit rate MP4 (aac) files. Please be aware that the
new version will contain our technology news segment produced by Leo Laporte,
when time allows.

Please let me know how this new version works for you! I know some affiliates
have requested just the news, while others requested a shorter version for
air during weekday nets, while airing the longer feature version during thier
net bulletin service on the weekends.

The general press release and log files will remain the same. The log text
file for each program will be the full length version marked up to indicate
the 30 minute program break point.

I hope this new version will work for you.
