** ATTENTION ALL TWIAR SATELLITE AFFILIATES **

                  ** TWIAR RE_FEED **
Due to bad weather in the area of the satellite uplink,
and the holiday weekend, no one was monitoring the
W0KIE downlink signal. Apparently, some bad weather
in the area of the uplink, caused the digital codecs on the
W0KIE tie lines to drop. No one caught this until about
9:15pm eastern Saturday, when Vern Jackson, WA0RCR
called TWIAR headquarters to alert us to the situation.

TWIAR HQ would have been monitoring, but since the
leaves came on the trees here in New York, we cannot
see the satellite that carries W0KIE. We were on the
W0KIE internet stream.

So, for all satellite affiliates, please be aware that a full
replay of This Week in Amateur Radio will be available on
the satellite network on our regular replay window, Tuesday
evenings at 7:00pm eastern time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,
and we actively in courage all satellite affiliates to have as a
back up, a path to our web site to be able to download the
program if the satellite network encounters a problem.

Also at this time, we are considering moving the satellite
feed time up one hour to 8pm eastern time. I would appreciate
hearing from our satellite affiliates as to how this move
would impact your operation.

Again, I apologize for this network problem this week.

Thank you
and have a safe Memorial Day Weekend.

George - W2XBS
