[TWIAR] TWIAR EDITION #579 NOW AVAILABLE

To All Affiliates:

Here at TWIAR headquarters in wonderful Albany
New York was not very pleasant this past weekend.

We had a number of strong thunderstorm cells come
thru the area, and with the passing of each one, we took
a hit here at our headquarters.

The first thing that got wiped out was our telephone line
as it blew all the lightening protection gear in our NID (Network
Interface Device) out at our pedestal for telephone service.

And, it also blew a few of those DSL filters. This successfully
knocked out all of our voice telephone and DSL service. And
of course, Verizon doesn't work on the weekend, so we just got
our voice and DSL service back today.

Anyway, I just upload all the Edition #579 material to our FTP
server, and those of you who FTP can get it now. For the rest of
you web affiliates, it will be available later today when Dale gets
the audio files posted to the web site.

For satellite affiliates on W0KIE, the complete new edition #579
will be played this coming Tuesday evening. The Tuesday play out
is either at 7 or 7:30pm eastern.

Sorry for the delay, but mother nature decided to hit us.  This was
not the first time, and I'm sure not the last. Fortunately, all of our
production and computer gear survived.
