This Week in Amateur Radio has now been operating without funding for the
past two months. The service has been staying on the air through the
generosity of our headquarters staff. However, as of this edition, this
funding source has also run out. During a recent meeting, it was decided that
the service will stay on the air through the remainder of the month of
February. If affiliate support is not forthcoming by then, our of board of
directors is pulling the plug. We do not wish this, however, it seems to be a
product of the times we live in. Right now, there is a lot happening within
the hobby, with the new proposed license restructuring, satellite launches,
not to mention the threat to the bands from Broadband over Power Lines, and
commercial interests. All of us here at This Week in Amateur Radio would
like to be here to cover those stories for you. But we cannot, without your
support. Please help support North America's premier on the air bulletin
service soon. Thanks, and 73.
