THIS WEEK IN AMATEUR RADIO IS LOOKING FOR ADDITIONAL ON THE AIR TALENT FOR
DEBUT THIS FALL

This Week in Amateur Radio, is looking for additional on the air talent for
our weekly, on the air, amateur radio bulletin/magazine service.  If you can
help us out filling any of the positions listed below, please get in touch
with us as soon as possible.

The staff of This Week in Amateur Radio would like to have new talent on the
air to debut this fall.

NEWS ANCHORS

This is the most coveted on the air position within This Week in Amateur
Radio. If you have always wanted to be an on the air news announcer, this is
for you. As of this writing, anyone coming on board as a new anchor would be
put in rotation with our existing on air anchor staff. This would require
you to be available about once a month. The more people that join the anchor
staff, the greater the rotation schedule, and the less load on you.

For this position, you must have a computer with internet access, a good
quality sound card and microphone, audio editing software (preferably Cool
Edit), and, an FTP client. Software can be provided if needed.

CONTESTING/CONVENTION ANCHOR

This position requires a WEEKLY commitment. Our contest and convention news
appears in each weeks program. Most of the content for this audio segment
from various amateur magazines that carry the data, as well as from various
web sites.

For this position, you must have a computer with internet access, a good
quality sound card and microphone, audio editing software (preferably Cool
Edit), and, an FTP client. Software can be provided if needed.

SEGMENT PRODUCERS

This position is a rotating position with other segment producers.  You can
report on anything within the amateur hobby you like. If are knowledgeable
about, for example, DX'ing, amateur television, towers and antennas,
repeaters and their maintenance, digital modes, computers in the shack, or
maybe even the controversial Voice Over IP modes, this may be the position
for you.

This can also be the position for all those curmudgeons out there that would
like a platform to rant on. Or maybe just talk about the state of amateur
radio today.

This position requires you to produce a monthly audio column of at least six
to eight minutes in length, about the topic of your choice.

For this position, you should have a computer with internet access, a good
quality sound card and microphone, audio editing software (preferably Cool
Edit), and, an FTP client. Software can be provided if needed.

However, we can accept segment producer segments on analog audio cassette
tape sent via regular mail to our Albany New York headquarters.

STAFF ANNOUNCERS

A TWIAR staff announcer is usually a as-needed position. This person voices
all of our ID's and liner segments within the program. All scripts will be
provided, you just read.

For this position, you should have a computer with internet access, a good
quality sound card and microphone, audio editing software (preferably Cool
Edit), and, an FTP client. Software can be provided if needed.

However, we can accept staff announcer material on analog audio cassette
tape sent via regular mail to our Albany New York headquarters.
