[TVI-RFI-EMI] help in tracking down some interference

This is on 17 meters, pretty wide across the band.
Every 8 seconds, lasts for approx. 4 seconds. basically is sounds like a
'burp' to use the most descriptive term I can think of.
Turning the beam.....
It's louder North and South of me, equal in both directions.
Null it to East and West. But not a big null.
normal signal levels without noise, is a about -91dBm
during the 'burp' it reads -87dBm
I do live in a very close populated urban area (under the new Ohare
runway landing pattern)
I don't see any relationship to weather, time of day, anything.
I walk around the neighborhood with a small portable radio proved nothing.
I've shut down almost all the circuits in my home, one at a time
(obviously leaving the receiver working) with no clues.
the pattern is so constant, it's got to be some 'device'
anybody have a clue
I can copy most weak cw or digital through it, but it's annoying and
tiring after a while
