[TVI-RFI-EMI] RFI from florescent lights

I am having a terrible time with RFI from the florescent lights in my 38
foot motorhome getting into my IC-706 which is mounted in the rear of the
motorhome. I think I hear the interference on all HF bands, but it is
especially bad on 75 meters. The RFI manifests itself by producing loud
birdies and squeals into the receive audio. Soon as I turn the light
switch off, the noise goes away. 
I lowered the light fixtures and wrapped the supply leads with RF chokes
to no avail and put chokes on the leads connected near the switch also to
no avail. 
I haven't contacted the RV manufacturer yet, but that may be the next
step if a solution isn't forth coming.
Any suggestion would be appreciated
