[TVI-RFI-EMI] Tower Ground versus AC Ground

What's the "current" wisdom related to connecting your
tower ground to the same underground system as the
AC main panel ground?  I've read in RadCom recently
that this was a bad thing to do, but read awhile ago that
it was good.

I have very band RFI on a Panasonic KSU phone system
and also on my home automation/security system.  I expect
both are getting their input from AC, but can't get enough
toroids on the input side to quiet things down.  At one time,
anything more than 10 watts on 160 would ring every phone
in the house.  Now I get a little more than that, but not enough
for SSB operating.
