Excellent effort Andre!  LP SSB is a tough one, yet you managed to wrangle 352 QSOs.  You out-Q’d me on 40 phone, and I had ZERO phone Qs on 15.  Well done!

The reason you didn’t hear Pete and Tom is that they were CW only - never the two shall meet.

Thanks for adding to the TVARC club effort, and we share your confidence you’ll do even better next year.

I also congratulate Pete, Tom and Rusty for their FQP efforts.

This was my first Florida QSO party and I really enjoyed it. Saturday was a lot of fun, while band conditions Sunday were horrible.

I am strictly a SSB operator, and I usually Hunt and Peck during contests, but this time I concentrated on CQing for the majority of the time. It was nice being a "desired" station for once, and not having to call the same station multiple times to get a QSO.

Here are my results:

Band  Phone QSOs
   40       109
   20       239
   15           4
------------------
Total       352

I had 51 multipliers, so my raw score was 352 x 51 x 2 (LP) = 35,904.

I worked 27 Florida Counties and 43 different states/provinces..

I watched Rusty on Contest Online Scoreboard, he and I were the only ones using that site indicating the VARC club.  I chased KJ4QX and tried to keep up with him (I won). I worked Rusty twice, but did not hear Pete and Tom.

I operated for about 13 hours total. I had a commitment on Sunday afternoon and only caught the last hour of the contest.

I used a barefoot ICOM IC-7410 (100W) and a G5RV Jr. Center Fed dipole at about 25'. I hope to have a better antenna next year.
