Fellow TVARC members,

Many of us are very excited that the annual gathering of Hams in Orlando has arrived.  Some TVARCers are veterans of HamCation while some others are first-timers.

Whichever category you fit into, there is a lot to see and do.  You can shop for used stuff at a huge outdoor tailgating area, shop for used stuff in an indoor SWAPS building,

check out all sorts of new stuff from dozens of ham-radio-related equipment vendors in another building, visit various ham radio organizations indoors, like the ARRL,

SKCC (Straight Key Century Club), LICW Club (Long Island CW) Club and maybe even Parks On The Air (POTA).  Need some coax, want a cap with your callsign on it,

been jonesing for a new HT or mobile rig, or antenna?  You can find it here.

Want to learn more about various ham radio topics?  There are lots of forums from which to choose.

There is a very helpful map of the HamCation site on the HamCation website.  I am attaching it to this email.  Those of us driving to HamCation from The Villages will turn

left from West Colonial BLVD onto Pete Parish BLVD.  Find a parking spot in the huge grassy area to the right of Pete Parish BLVD.  If you have a HamCation ticket in hand,

or you need to buy one, you should proceed to the South Gate Ticket Booth WHICH IS ERRONEOUSLY LABELED “5” on the map.  This booth is located at the upper left corner

of the huge grassy parking area.  If you need to pick up a ticket at WILL CALL, go to the WILL CALL ticket booth correctly labeled “6” on the map.

Go in, and have fun.

If you want to stop by and say hello to W3US, N0SMX and K2DM in the main Tailgate Area, head on back to area “18” in the upper left area of the map.  See the Restroom?  Our

tables are located just south of the Restroom (below the Restroom on the map).

Looking forward to seeing you there.

George K2DM
