Not having an antenna for 10 meters, I took up Pete's advice and threw up a dipole between a couple of hedges.  It was about 8 feet high I estimate.  For sure not ideal, but better than a wet noodle I suppose.

I only operated in CW mode. Here are the results:
Call: W4GD Operator(s): W4GD Station: W4GD Class: SO CW HP Class Overlay: Limited-Ant QTH: FL Operating Time (hrs): 8 Summary: Band  QSOs  Mults -------------------   CW:  156    86  SSB:           ------------------- Total:  156    86  Total Score = 53,664 Club: The Villages Amateur Radio Club
My greatest frustration was not being able to work EA8ZS.  I must have wasted 15 minutes trying to get him. There was only a slight pileup.  I finally gave up and tuned up the band where I came across 7Q2T in Malawi.  He had a slightly larger pileup than EA8ZS, but I was able to work him on my first call. Go figure!

Overall, it was a fun time and I will try to have a better antenna for next year's event.  73 to all de John, W4GD
