Here is additional incentive to make as many contacts as you can in this contest:  ARRL has a Club Competition for most of its contests, including this one.  TVARC has actually WON the competition for small clubs (defined as submitting 10 or fewer entries).  In 2024, I created a list of club members who were eligible to submit scores for the Club and who met other eligibility requirements.  Today I reupped that list,

and I am attaching it here.  If you are not on the list, and you want to submit a score on behalf of TVARC, let me know ASAP, and I will re-submit the list.  Then all you have to do is operate in the contest,

make a bunch of contacts, and declare your club as The Villages Amateur Radio Club on your log submission.

Also, here is a link to the Club Competition rules.  ClubComp-Rules.pdf

Good luck!

Subject: [TVARC] ARRL 10M Contest This Weekend

My favorite contest, and one tailored to TVARCs typically meager stations.  Pretty easy to cut a 10M dipole and throw it between a couple of bushes.  The whole antenna is about 16 feet or so.  And the good part is you can work anyone, anywhere.  Choose your mode (CW/SSB, or Mixed – no FT8), exchange 59(9) <state> with US and Canada (DX will send you a serial number).  Also recently, Mexico which sends a three-character state abbreviation.  HP/LP/QRP.  You also get to sleep at night when the band is closed!

Conditions look terrific!  Right now the solar flux index is 183 with a fairly low A index of 5.  10 meters will be hoppin’!

Also, don’t forget to set your contest program to connect to https://contestonlinescore.com/.  This will communicate with your logging program, and report your real-time scores.  It’s always fun to watch our club members pile up their numbers.  Go to that site and register, if you have not already done so, and enter your club as The Villages Amateur Radio Club.  To set it up in N1MM+, go to Config>Configure Ports,…>Score Reporting. Check the boxes on the left, and enter server name of https://contestonlinescore.com/post/.  During the contest you’ll be able to see everyone’s scores, either by class (LP/HP, etc), or by club, and watch them change every few minutes.

After the contest, be sure to mark your club as The Villages Amateur Radio Club, and report your estimated scores to 3830scores.com.  I’ll use that to compile them for the club and report during our next meeting.
