Just a reminder that the CQ World Wide SSB Contest is this coming weekend. Between this one and ARRL DX in the spring, you’re looking at the biggest SSB contests of the year.
It starts at 0000Z (8P Friday night), and continues for 48 hours. The exchange is simple – 5905 – so it makes for quick QSOs. Don’t forget 10 meters. This may just be the last time we’ll be having great propagation on that band until quite a few years from now, and most of us don’t have the time to wait! There’s a Low Power class at <100 watts, and you can be Assisted or not. You can work the same station on each band, BTW.
Be sure to credit The Villages Amateur Radio Club. Maybe we can win another gavel in the Local Club category!
Post your scores on the reflector, or just send them to me and I’ll compile for the next meeting.
73 es GL!
