Good morning...

Kym, KQ4ZOA has graciously volunteered to lead the TVARC September Technician License Class.

At the TVARC Board Meeting last night, I was asked to communicate with the TVARC membership,
The Villages Daily Sun and other area ham radio clubs to encourage participation.

So far, signups have been a little puny.

If you know of anyone interested in pursuing the Technician License, please share the following with them.

Here's the press release:

The Villages Amateur Radio Club is holding free classes to help prepare students for the entry level

FCC Amateur Radio license (Technician Class) examination.

Ten weekly classes start on Monday, September 8th at 5:30 at the Eisenhower Recreation Center,

3560 Buena Vista Blvd in The Villages (just north of State Road 44).

There’s no charge for the course…but there is a $50.00 study material and FCC examination fee.

The FCC Technician Class examination will be given at the end of the course.

For more information on the course and to register, visit The Villages Amateur Radio Club’s web site…

K4VRC.COM  and click on the “How to Become a Ham” tab.

Just a point of clarification, while the course is free of charge, ALL students must have the 5th Edition
of the ARRL's Ham Radio License Manual which can be purchased from TVARC while registering or
from any retailer selling ARRL publications.  The FCC Examination Fee is $15.00.

Thanks for your help!
