When I moved into smaller quarters recently, I donated numerous boxes of electronic components to SKYCRAFT Parts and Surplus in Orlando.  And, by the way, if you need almost any kind of electronic part, they likely have it.  Amazing place!  SkycraftSurplus.com.  Check it out.  Every kind of electronic part you can think of and more.

Wayne,
I had contacted most of the area schools about a year or so ago.  The only one that expressed an interest was the Wildwood high school.  A meeting with the Science teacher was postponed due to some community emergency and I never re-established contact.   Joe AB3CR  353-702-9366

George, do you or anyone else know of any High Schools or even junior colleges around (in FL) that have electronic or possibly even robotics labs that would have a use for various discrete electronic components.  I have quite a bit of saved, new components, protoboards, etc. that I would like to donate to a school if possible.  Seems like this stuff is just no longer in demand, I am afraid.

Thank you,
Wayne
