TVARCers:  I know that many others have thanked George, K2DM (king of the dealmakers) for his tireless effort in arranging for a good space in Hamcation’s flea market as well as the work that Rusty, W3US and Ken, WB8PKK did with collecting the items for sale and then administering the whole process.

I decided to sell my item and I thought that the whole process was pretty straight-forward.  Give Rusty and Ken my item and wait for the cash.

Boy was I wrong.  I was one of the volunteers attending the TVARC table so I saw what went on “behind the curtain”.  Wow.  The work they did started with creating a card for each item (many, many) to note the ID number of the item along with the seller’s name, an item description and the requested and bottom line price as well as the seller’s cell phone number.

That’s just the start of the process. Once an item was sold, then the selling price was noted on the card along with the price and the money collected was placed in a secure location.  Then when the seller came to the table to collect their dough, the funds were disbursed accurately.

The whole system worked relatively flawlessly and Rusty and Ken are to be commended.  THANK YOU!  Job exceedingly-well done.
