Hi Rusty -

Don WB8GUS from MI & I will be driving down early Saturday morning, leaving TV about 6 AM, with a few
goodies for the Club swap table.  We will also have with us a large-tire hand cart for anyone to borrow to get
their goodies to the table from the parking lot, too.

Please add me into the schedule for a 2-hour table slot, wherever time is needed to be filled.

Thanks,

Dear Club Mates.  With less than a week to go, i thought I’d send a friendly reminder to those planning to take advantage of the TVARC swap table.  Please let us know your intentions regarding equipment drop off (2-4 PM @ W3US QTH) as well as manning the swap table.  XL spreadsheet attached.

Tnx and enjoy Hamcation.

Subject: Orlando Hamcation 2025 and TVARC "swap table"
Date: January 22, 2025 at 13:12:38 EST

Greetings club mates.  We hope you are well and ready to enter 2025 with ambitious and interesting Ham Radio projects, on-air contesting, chasing DX, EMCOMM or whatever it is you enjoy in pursuit of our wonderful hobby.

Hamcation 2025 in just around the corner - Friday thru Sunday, Feb 7, 8, 9 at the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando.  Complete information may be found here:  https://www.hamcation.com/  If you’ve never attended Hamcation, add it to your bucket list.  IMHO, it is second only to the Dayton Hamvention in terms of size and activities.

This year TVARC will host a table in the swap area.  What is a swap area?  Think of it as an opportunity to declutter your shack of unused or unwanted items and perhaps fatten your wallet in the process.

What’s the catch?  There are only three, with the first having several caveats:

1.  Bring your Ham Radio related gear to my house @ 1011 Golden Grove Dr in the village of Sabal Chase between 2 and 4 PM Thursday, 6 February.  We will load it in my CRV for transport to Hamcation Friday morning.  Once the car is full no additional equipment will be accepted. It is not mandatory to bring your gear to my house.  If you prefer to bring it to the swap table on your own, please do so. The member is responsible for transporting gear to and from Hamcation as well as getting it to /from the table.  Please be advised that you may not be allowed to drive into the tailgate area to drop off your stuff.  Be prepared to carry it in.

2.  Sign up for a two hour shift as a swap table monitor.  Please see attached spreadsheet.  (Hopefully, it will make it through the mail relay)

3.  Purchase an individual Hamcation entry ticket:  https://www.hamcation.com/hamcation-tickets.  All entrants must have a ticket.

We also request you fill out an index card (to be provided) with equipment identification, asking price, lowest acceptable price, and cell phone number where you can be reached for questions.

That’s it!   Many thanks to our wise and energetic president, George Briggs, K2DM for securing a swap table in advance.

Please contact either of the undersigned if you have questions.
