What kind of operating do you want to do? Local repeaters? FT8? DX? Or are these questions somewhat Greek to you?

I think I need an Elmer. I got a General 5 years ago but have never operated because we lived in a condo until we moved to The Villagers. Where can I get some operating familiarity?
