Jeff,

Suggest you measure the power output at various power settings with a stand alone meter(I have one you can use) feeding a dummy load. If the meter shows the power is really changing, then the meter circuit is faulty which should be pretty easy to trouble shoot. Call if I can help.  Joe AB3CR. 352-702-9366
