Hi TVARcers,

As I discussed at our meeting on Thursday, Tom, K3WT, has set up a new email reflector to encourage contesting and DXing among TVARC club members. 

There are lots of issues, timely and otherwise, that would attract this interest group within our club, and which would be of no interest at all for the rest of the club members.  So, it made sense to split those folks off into their own reflector, running side-by-side with our existing reflector.

So, if you are interested in either Contesting or DXing (or both), go ahead and subscribe to the TVARC-Contest-DX reflector.

This is how to sign up (and if the instructions are not clear, let me know):

• Go to mailman.qth.net (the same host as our existing TVARC reflector).
• In the box at the left, choose Directory of Lists.
• Scroll down to TVARC-Contest-DX and click on that (don’t get distracted by all the other lists – you can do that on your own time)!
• Under Subscribing to TVARC-Contest-DX, enter the required information, and then click Subscribe.
• You should shortly receive an email from tvarc-contest-dx-request, with instructions to validate and confirm that you wish to subscribe.  (If you don’t receive this email, try again, or contact one of us and we’ll try and troubleshoot.)
• Tom and I will then receive notice of your intent to subscribe and will confirm your addition to the list.
• A welcome email from the reflector will be sent to you with general information on posting, unsubscribing, etc.

Then go ahead and post something to [email protected] !
