Louise Estabrook KN4HVG is interested in attending our next club meeting on September 12th, but she has transportation and mobility issues,  She uses a foldable walker, and she also has a service dog who travels with her.
She does not have a car, and she is wondering if anyone would be able to pick her up and then bring her home again after the club meeting.
Please let me know if you would be interested in helping Louise out in this regard.

I do need to tell you about my needs first-I’m not overweight at all but I still have a rather large footprint. I have a foldable walker that fits in most car trunks but I would need help putting it in. And I have a large service dog. He’s very well behaved and very sweet   He would be very content sitting with me in the back seat. I would bring a blanket to protect the car seat  

If you can’t find a ride, that’s okay, I’d totally understand. Just please let me know either way .

Thanks for your call today regarding The Villages Amateur Radio Club.
Our club has been in existence here in The Villages for many years.
We have about 300 current members, and we meet monthly at Eisenhower Recreation Center, which is located at 3560 Buena Vista Blvd.
Our meeting take place in the evening, as we discussed.
Our meetings begin at 6:00PM with a 45 minute social conversation time where members talk and exchange information about a variety of radio related topics.
The business meeting begins at 6:45PM and runs until about 7:20 or so.  We normally would have a featured speaker who would speak from 7:30 until about 8:15.
The club holds radio related activities on a quarterly basis, where we set up and demonstrate our radio equipment to increase public awareness of our hobby, and to recruit new members.
Our upcoming meeting schedule is;
-Sep 12th at 6:00PM at Eisenhower Rec Center.  This meeting will feature a presentation from Ham Radio Outlet in Winter Springs, FL
-Oct 17th at 6:00PM at Eisenhower Rec Center.  This meeting will feature a speaker form The National Weather Service in Ruskin, FL
-Nov 21st at 6:00PM at Eisenhower Rec Center.  This meeting will feature a presentation on Parks on the Air.
Louise, you mentioned that you are handicapped, and also that you do not drive.  Please let me know if you would be interested in attending one of our upcoming meetings.  If you are interested, I will try to arrange for someone to pick you up and drop you back at home afterwards.
