Interesting Pete.  Thanks for the Intel.

Just a thought -- There seems to be two lines of WSJT-X "improvement" efforts, both by the same developers, all available on the SourceForge site. I  had been using one of the previous versions of WSJT-X that did not have SuperFox capability.    Two weeks I changed to version 2.7.1-devel 2407"XX" (exact version unknown)  which had SuperFox capability and I liked it -- it had some features which made it more operator friendly.  No, I did not try it on a real SuperFox station as I could not find one.

So, always wanting to be on the "cutting edge", I downloaded 2.7.0-RC6.  It lacked the features of 2.7.1-devel 240720 that I had been using so I went "back" to 2.7.1-devel 240720.

Like anything, it is what you want as features and what you are used to.  Having tried both, I am partial to 2.7.1-devel 240720.  I am eager to work a SuperFox station to make sure it works for me.

I will be monitoring the development of WSJT-X to see what works best for me.  Thanks for your report on 2.7.0-rc6.  More work to do.

Hope all is well, all good here in Virginia.

Today the WSJT-X team has released a new version of their software, 2.7.0-rc6, replacing -rc5.  Apparently, there were some issues with the prior release, and the suggestion has even been made that if you worked K8R with SuperFox mode, you should rework them!

Up until I installed this new release, I had not gotten a SuoerFox print of K8R.  After I did, I finally saw K8R pop up once, with the “Verified” tag.  But it was once and then gone.

Those DXers in the club who are interested in working Jarvis Island in early August need to upgrade.
