TVARC members,

Our May meeting is this Thursday, May 16, at the Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center.

The meeting will begin at 6:00 with a 45-minute social period, followed at 6:45 by the business

meeting.

Highlights of the business meeting will be the initial planning for the June Field Day event AND a

presentation by webmaster Steve Walbrun, KD8WAA, on some of the cool upgrades he has made

to the club's website.

After the break, I will describe how to program the ubiquitous Baofeng UV-5R HT manually, using the

radio's keyboard.  You are invited to bring your Baofeng HT to the meeting and follow along with the

programming examples.  The steps apply to a variety of Baofeng (and other brand) models.  Who knows?

I may even talk a bit about CHIRP.
