We are still needing volunteers for the annual Hearts for our Hospital bicycle challenge.  Because this is primarily in the Villages, we would love to have some help from Villages folks.  Can you please put this out on the Reflector?  Thanks in advance.

Sumter County ARES will again be coordinating amateur radio support for the 8th Annual Hearts For Our Hospital Bicycle Challenge, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 11, 2023, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Sumter County ARES is requesting assistance from ARES teams and their affiliated amateur radio organizations from Marion, Lake and Citrus counties.

The event headquarters, as well as the ARES Communications Command Post, will be located at the La Hacienda Regional Recreation Center near the Spanish Springs Town Square in The Villages, (1200 Avenida Central, Lady Lake, FL).  

For more information about this event and a description of the various assignments we are needing filled by amateur radio operators, visit www.sumterares.org/h4h.  You can also sign up for any of these assignments on that same webpage.  Once signed up, a member of Sumter County ARES will contact the volunteer to discuss the assignment and to answer any questions he or she might have.
